Update J.T.'s Day
went very well yesterday. He wore his
Pal's T-Shirt to Rehab!!! He got on the Hand bike. He was off the vent for 14
hours. He has had a temperature and his
White Blood Count is way up. He
definitely has an infection. they are
searching for the source. They have
started him on antibiotics. The bone
Doctor said his X-ray looked good. They
will check in 2 weeks. He did clear him
to take the Collar off while in bed which is Great. I forgot to mention the other day that he had
his first real shower !! He said it felt awesome. We all went to the Meeting with his Doctor,
Counselor, and Case Manager yesterday and it went really well. We knew we would get some good news and maybe
differing opinions. The news we got was
really all positive. They did not put
any limits on the level of Recovery he can have. It is very early, but the believe he is ahead
of the game. He has not even really
started his actual Rehab yet. The Team
they have taking Care of him is so Amazing!!!
He is still having trouble resting.
His Swallowing is progressing and his appetite is improving. He had a visit again from my friend and
Former Chief and Wasp Kevin Rogers.
Yesterday afternoon he got a very Encouraging call from ETSU Head
Football Coach Carl Torbush. He talked
to J.T. On Speaker phone and was so Genuine.
He gave him two different Bible Verses to Read and reflect on. J.T's Voice is getting a little better. He was able to say a few words to Coach
. Coach Torbush promised to Call
weekly. The Doctors also talked about a
speaking valve to help him communicate.
So for Praying purposes Please Pray for the infection to be found and be
eradicated, for Continued vent weaning,
Rest, appetite growth, swallowing improvement, secretion management, and most of all Gods
ultimate healing!!!! Thanks to
